A brilliant film maker named Dan Erdman decided to make a documentary about my career. Although its always squeamish to see yourself on screen I have to say this is my favorite part of the film because the Special Olympics is such a huge part of what I do and who I am.

Growing up with an intellectually disabled family member, I found my calling when Eunice Kennedy Shriver introduced me to the Special Olympics in 1991. I have spent over 20 years photographing Special Olympics Athletes all over the world. Nothing gives me more pleasure than sharing with the world the pure spirit of joy, love and integrity of these remarkable individuals.

I am super excited to head to L.A. next week to meet with the creative team of the Special Olympics in preparations for the World Games Los Angeles 2015. There are 7000 athletes from 170 countries competing in 21 Olympic-type sports with about half a million spectators. I am such a huge fan and I encourage you to become a fan too!
